About The Artist

NABIL LOLI —

Nabil Loli was born in the city of Al Hasakah, Syria in 1959. He was one of four brothers, all arrived in the world brimming with a passion for art. Being surrounded by creative-minded siblings grew his fascination with art at an early age – which makes Loli a self-taught artist, influenced by his family. Over time, his brothers fled Syria and moved to Europe. In his late teens, Loli joined his older brother, Joseph, in Italy, where they spent most of their time roaming around museums, sketching and painting portraits in the streets of Florence. Soon after, in 1978, Loli made his way to Lafayette, Louisiana – where he currently resides – seeking the opportunity to attain success and provide for his family. With sacrifice and hard work, Loli became the owner of Cedar’s Deli, an international grocery market and deli, satisfying the homesick and locals. Through it all, Loli never stopped painting. Traveling the world with his family and being an art enthusiast, he continued to create art. Forty years later, at the age of 60 years young, Loli decided to showcase his art for the world to see. His style is a fusion of works from world renowned artists with a unique personal touch of Mediterranean heritage and Cajun culture.

Between Nabil Loli and his brothers, George, Joseph, and Elias – there are over thousands of pieces distributed around the world. Some have been sold, showcased in restaurants, cafes, and bars around the Middle East, Europe and America. Or generously given away.
